The position

The Lead Creative will be responsible for producing innovative creative ideas / treatments which aim to be cutting-edge and meet the client's objectives, successfully reflecting the brand of the client. The Lead Creative may have line management responsibility
for Designer(s) in the future.

The design role

The success of our team is built on the following principles:

  • Brainstorm creative ideas, based on appropriate interpretation of the client brand, project brief and scamps
  • Create a range of cross-platform design work, working from scamps, or on pure design-led projects
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch programmes to execute creative designs in line with agreed brief
  • Use typography, layout, colour and grid structures appropriately in line with brief to enhance design ideas and impact
  • Proactively manage risks throughout the project and flag to the project manager as appropriate
  • Communicate effectively, verbally, visually and in writing, complex user journeys, concepts and creative ideas, demonstrating the rationale and consideration

Working with the team

A typical day in the life of a lead Creative includes:

  • Actively collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project
  • Proactively support colleagues in the delivery of projects across the wider team
  • Act as informal mentor, coach and /or guide across the team, as appropriate
  • Identify opportunities to enhance our clients' digital strategies and present ideas to decision makers
  • Share knowledge and experience with colleagues
  • Play an active role in, and contribute to Yoyo social events

What we're looking for

Your role reports to Gregg, our Creative Director. If you would be interested in joining his team, we'd be looking for:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to successfully explain creative concepts and design solutions to other team members
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, to build strong colleague and client relationships at all levels
  • Positive approach to problem-solving
  • Demonstrates a desire for successful collaboration
  • Experience of a similar role in an agency, designing cutting-edge websites, interfaces and/or digital campaigns
  • Understands the digital landscape and emerging trends
  • Full working knowledge and expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch
  • Proven understanding of typography, layout, colour and grid structure
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrates personal and time management skills
