A Heads-up: Umbraco Forms Licensing

There is one important change to be aware of if your site uses Umbraco Forms to capture data. Starting with Umbraco 17, Forms has moved to a subscription-based licensing model:

Existing One-Off Licenses

If you currently have a one-off Forms license, it will continue working on pre-v17 versions. However, to run Forms on v17 or later, you'll need to migrate to the subscription model.

Migration Credit

Umbraco is making this transition fair by converting your existing license into subscription time. You get up to 32 months minus the age of your current license as credit toward the subscription.

What Stays the Same?

Domain coverage and all core functionality remain consistent.

Note for Cloud Users

If you're using Forms on Umbraco Cloud, the license is included at no cost and will automatically upgrade, no action is required from you.
