Fight for Sight
UI / UX / Development
To stop sight loss through pioneering research, Fight for Sight needed more than a website, they needed a unified digital home. We partnered with them during their merger with Vision Foundation to build a radical, accessibility-first platform that merges two legacies into one powerful engine for change.
Building an accessible website that helps a charity to achieve its ultimate goal.
Following their landmark merger with Vision Foundation, Fight for Sight faced a massive challenge: bringing two distinct legacies together under one roof. They didn't just need a new URL; they needed a digital sanctuary that reflected their new brand, retained years of vital research content, and above all set a new gold standard for accessibility.
Strategic focus
Seamless Integration
We merged two complex organisations into a single, high-authority platform without losing a drop of search equity or historical content.
Radical Accessibility
We moved beyond standard compliance. Our UX team integrated screen-reader optimisation, customisable font sizes, and high-contrast color modes to ensure the site is truly usable for everyone.
Safety & Empathy
In sensitive situations, user privacy is paramount. We implemented a "Global Exit" button, allowing visitors to leave the site instantly and clear their session history for total peace of mind.
Flexibility in motion.
Having supported Fight for Sight with their legacy platform, we were ready when the mission evolved into an entirely new build. As their visual rebrand was still unfolding, our team worked very closely to maintain a high-energy collaboration and ensure the new digital identity felt cohesive, modern, and filled with "informed optimism."
People-First engineering.
For Fight for Sight, "looking good" was only half the battle. We spent our discovery phase ensuring that the most vulnerable users had the best experience. By balancing a fresh, vibrant aesthetic with high-performance SEO and conversion-led design, we built a site that doesn't just share information, it drives the donations that fund ground-breaking research.
You have perfectly captured our spirit of 'informed optimism' throughout. There's a real buzz at the office and we can't wait to get our hands on the site!
