Yoyo 2026

B Corp Impact Report

We’re passionate about using our business as a force for good - good for people, good for the planet, and good for our community. We think that there’s always room for improvement.

Measurable Momentum

If 2025 was about setting our foundations, 2026 has been about driving operational efficiency, amplifying our voice, and backing it up with measurable action.

Internally, our focus has been on embedding technology and AI across every corner of the agency, anchored by our published ethical AI framework and tighter delivery processes. Crucially, increased efficiency hasn’t come at the expense of our people. We’ve expanded working flexibility, introduced ‘work where you want’ policies, and closely scrutinised our culture and team gatherings to ensure the agency supports the individual as much as the collective whole.

We're channeling shared knowledge into real, practical sustainability

1000

Externally, we’ve taken our commitments to the next level, championing web accessibility on global stages, launching our very first Client Advisory Board, and designing award-winning charity platforms (alongside literally abseiling down skyscrapers for good causes!).

At the same time, we have continued to scale our wider community impact. Through Amplifi - the local initiative we launched to unite businesses around climate change and reduce emissions together, we’ve been channeling shared knowledge into real, practical sustainability.

I’m immensely proud of the team’s dedication to building such a creative and resilient agency. Here is a look at the impact we’ve made so far this year.

Our People

Looking after our people remains our priority. In 2026, we focused on sustainable working practices, transparent governance, and responsible technology integration.

What we did

1.

Ethical AI Integration

Formalised and published our official Approach to AI. As part of our agency strategy, we are committed to intentional, responsible internal integrations of AI, building operational efficiencies while ensuring technology is used morally, transparently, and securely.

2.

1,000 Hours of Growth & Learning

Maintained our ambitious agency commitment of 1,000 dedicated professional development hours, funding technical accreditations, Umbraco developer certifications, and leadership coaching that paved the way for internal promotions.

3.

Modernised People Handbook & Contracts

Rolled out updated employee contracts and refreshed our company handbook to ensure clear equity, transparent policies, and workplace flexibility.

4.

Energy-Efficient, Purpose-Driven Studio

Completed our workspace transition into a more comfortable, collaborative, and measurably energy-efficient office environment.

5.

Revamped Team Rhythms & Connection

Adjusted the locations and interactive formats for our quarterly company-wide alignment sessions, alongside monthly social events to keep our team closely connected.

6.

Transparent Governance & Public Lobbying

Maintained zero official grievances through our visible website grievance mechanism. We continued public policy advocacy, speaking with local government and our MP to champion the Better Business Act and the National Emergency Briefing.

Our Community

We believe digital agencies have a responsibility to nurture their communities, share knowledge generously, and show up for causes that matter.

What we did

1.

Putting our money where our mouth is

After exploring our options for ethical banking, we moved 85% of Yoyo’s cash assets into savings accounts with Cambridge & Counties, a fellow B Corp certified bank.

2.

Took our B Corp and tech values onto major industry stages:

Codegarden (Denmark): Jen delivered a keynote on “Leading a B Corp: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.”

Umbraco Accessibility Awareness Day (UMBRAAD): Senior UX Designer Ellie Barrett presented on “Designing for Cognition.”

Remember A Charity Webinar: Head of Client Strategy Anna partnered up with RAC to deliver practical AI strategies for non-profit legacy fundraisers.

3.

Convening Purpose-Driven Networks

Hosted our Female Lead Lunches exploring women in leadership and AI ethics, alongside co-hosting an event with Dave Stott from Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) on removing digital friction from volunteer recruitment journeys.

4.

Sponsoring Mission-Led Gatherings

Continued direct sponsorship and active community involvement across CharityComms conferences, the RAC Legacy Festival, the Saltways Charity Film Festival, and the Blue Earth Summit.

5.

The Amplifi Initiative

Maintained open carbon literacy meetups, climate training, and peer networking to support local SMEs on their decarbonisation journey.

Our Planet

Digital isn't virtual, it has a tangible physical footprint. In 2026, we continued embedding climate responsibility directly into how we design, build, and host the web.

What we did

1.

Annual Net Zero & Carbon Accounting

Maintained greenhouse gas accounting across our operations to measure our footprint as we progress towards our Net Zero roadmap.

2.

Scaling our Green Hosting

Expanded the number of our client websites running on 100% renewable infrastructure (increasing to 20 active clients on certified Green Hosting).

3.

Sustainable Web Development

Refined our front-end standards, prioritising light page weights, efficient caching, and clean Umbraco builds that limit client server energy usage and reduce digital emissions.

Our Partnerships

We partner with organisations that have high digital ambition and meaningful societal missions.

What we did

1.

Award-Winning Charity Digital Design

Won Best Designed Site at the global Umbraco Awards for our work on Demelza, demonstrating that accessibility, low carbon footprint, and emotional brand storytelling can go hand-in-hand.

2.

Launched the Client Advisory Board

Formally established our inaugural Client Advisory Board, including leaders from Royal Voluntary Service, Fight for Sight, and Worldwide Cancer Research, to ensure our client partnerships are built on genuine co-creation and candid feedback.

3.

Partnering with Purpose

Welcomed and expanded work with mission-driven partners including Blue Ventures, Amref Health Africa, Girlguiding, Bancroft, Widgit, and fellow B Corp Gladiator Events.

4.

Championing a Purpose-Led Tech Stack.

We believe our supply chain and technical architecture should reflect our values. As an official Umbraco Gold partner, we were thrilled to celebrate Umbraco officially becoming a certified B Corp this year! Building long-term digital solutions on an open-source CMS platform that matches our dedication to environmental responsibility, transparent governance, and community makes our partnership even more meaningful.

Amplifying our impact

Our plans

  • People

    • Fostering diverse leadership, nurturing talent, and connecting our purpose-driven network.

      • Expand Purpose-Led Gatherings: Scale our roundtables and events for female leaders in tech and B Corp non-profit teams.

      • Umbraco Platinum Certifications: Invest in advanced team accreditations and technical mastery to empower our developers and digital strategists.

  • Planet

    • Decarbonising the web and building measurable climate responsibility into our code.

      • Client Carbon & Social Impact Frameworks: Roll out granular reporting tools that calculate the lifetime digital footprint and energy savings of every platform we build.

      • Championing Low-Carbon Open Source: Partner with Umbraco to push the boundaries of clean web architecture, green hosting adoption, and reduced data transfer.

  • Process

    • Operationalising ethics, transparent governance, and purposeful tech architecture.

      • Client Impact & Co-Creation Frameworks: Institutionalise Client Advisory Board feedback into our sprint cycles, co-designing client success metrics around ethical standards.

      • Ethical AI & Umbraco Platinum Delivery: Tighten our technical workflows, combining certified Platinum-grade architecture with our formalised ethical AI governance from discovery through to deployment.

Until next year...

2026 has been all about stepping up and opening our doors. From launching our Client Advisory Board to sharing our B Corp journey on international stages, we’ve made a conscious effort to share what we’ve learned. Being 'future-focused' means we are always looking for ways to design a better digital world, not just for our clients, but for our community and the planet.

I am incredibly proud of the energy the Yoyo team has brought this year. Whether we are pushing the boundaries of ethical AI, celebrating an Umbraco Award for our charity work, or planting hundreds of trees for the websites we launch, we are all in on this journey and we can't wait to see what 2027 brings.
