To help 75,000 members drive safer, IAM RoadSmart needed a digital engine that was fit for the future. We replaced eight disjointed websites with one unified, high-performance platform combining complex CRM integrations with a seamless member experience to power the UK’s leading road safety charity.

As the UK’s leading road safety charity, IAM RoadSmart has a massive responsibility: keeping 75,000 members skilled, confident, and safe on the road. But with a digital estate fragmented across eight disjointed websites, their online presence had become a roadblock. To deliver on their three-year modernization plan, they needed to trade their outdated infrastructure for a single, high-performance digital home.

We folded eight separate sites into one cohesive, intuitive experience. This created a single "source of truth" for members, donors, and the nationwide volunteer network.
The Member-First Dashboard
We designed a bespoke, personal dashboard experience. Now, members can track their progress, renew subscriptions, and book advanced courses through a seamless, integrated interface.
Seamless Tech Integration
Using Umbraco, we built a modular architecture that talks perfectly to IAM’s existing CRM and payment systems, giving their internal team total control without needing a developer for every update.
Engineering a "dream to use" platform.
The challenge was to make a massive amount of content feel light and easy to navigate. By prioritising a "Mobile-First, Member-First" UX, we ensured that whether someone is booking a flagship Advanced Driver course or accessing exclusive benefits, the journey is friction-free. The result is an SEO-friendly, scalable powerhouse that is as robust as the safety standards the charity promotes.
Unifying the road ahead.
We didn't just give the site a fresh coat of paint; we performed a total mechanical overhaul. Working as a strategic extension of the IAM RoadSmart team, we held collaborative discovery sessions to map out a 360-degree view of their complex member and volunteer requirements.
